How do Prisma Scholarships work?

If your pre-tax household income is below $150,000 USD/year, you can request a Prisma Scholarship within your child’s application. Prisma Scholarships are available for the full academic year for Prisma Mentor Coach programs only, so if you apply for the Parent Coach program or apply to join midyear, you’ll see the scholarship application isn’t available. Returning learners receive first priority for scholarships, so if you join midyear without one, you’ll still be eligible to apply for a returning learner scholarship in the future!

How to apply for a scholarship:

Within your child’s application you’ll be asked to state your current-year income along with what you can pay for Prisma. Please note that you’ll need to upload your current-year tax return that shows your full household income (including for your child’s other parent if you live in separate households). In the US, this is the tax form 1040. Please upload the international equivalent when applying from outside the United States. Be sure to block out any sensitive information, such as social security numbers. If your income is in a non-US currency, we’ll match your income to the USD-equivalent when considering a scholarship award. If your financial documentation, isn’t in English, please include a translation.

Given this information and any other factors you wish to share, we’ll evaluate your request for a scholarship. We have limited spots available at various tuition levels within our cohorts, so we recommend that you both state the maximum you can pay on an annualized basis (tuition can be broken into 10 monthly payments) and apply by March 1st to increase the likelihood of financial aid being available. Scholarships typically range from 10-40% off the annual tuition for our full programs. We also have a Parent Coach program for learners in grades 4-8 with substantially lower tuition since you take on the role of coaching your child.
