Our Parent Community

We say it all the time, but we really do have the best families! As a global family and parent community, together we create and lead in-person and virtual events that strive to create meaningful connections rooted in real joy, impact, lifelong learning, and adventure.

The Prisma Parent Community creates events and opportunities that are fun, engaging, and innovative. Whether you’re interested in planning in-person or virtual events, chaperoning at Endeavors, organizing a Family Meetup, or beyond—we welcome your participation! Everyone has a critical role to play in the lives of our learners, and we recognize that building a strong community takes effort, dedication, and nurturing from all of us families at Prisma!

Go beyond the classroom

How might we bring families together to build a strong community and friendships through experiential fun? That’s our goal with Family Meetups. Family Olympics? Yes, please! From a quick regional Meetup in the closest city with local Prismarians to milestone events, Meetups are parent-led and organized in-person events. Past Meetups have included everything from backyard BBQs to Washington, D.C. museums, waterpark weekends, Costa Rica, lake weeks, service projects, and many more. It is what we make it!

Parent Connect meets two times per month on Zoom with alternating times and formats. Featuring both a Prisma Coaches Series and a Parent Connect format, these gatherings exist so we can all feel supported and informed for the upcoming month. This is our space to drop in, share ideas, ask questions, and be a part of a supportive parent community. As a warm, welcoming community, we think-tank ideas, build tools, and have warm conversations about learning, parenting, and life. Parents supporting parents.

If you love making fun events happen for Prisma kids, join our Social Committee! Each year, the Prisma Parent Community works in conjunction with school leadership to put on a series of fun virtual events across themes and interests. From a Pet Parade to Valentine’s Exchanges to Friendsgiving to a Prisma Holiday Market with 35 student entrepreneurs—join in on planning the fun of virtual events to support Prisma students globally.

Book Club, Craft Club, Parent Circles, and more. Are you looking to socialize with fellow craft or book enthusiasts or just need to carve out some “me time” to connect with other adults around a shared topic of interest? Join us for these and other parent-led Clubs and chats monthly.
