Is Prisma a school, a homeschool, or something else?

Prisma is the world’s most engaging virtual school. Our comprehensive, accredited program for grades 4-12 offers an innovative, research-backed approach that equips learners with the skills they need to thrive in the future while cultivating a lifelong love of learning. Our fully remote team of expert educators and curriculum designers now serves just shy of 500 learners in over 20 countries across 5 continents.

Prisma is technically a US-based, Florida-accredited private school. Some learners who attend Prisma consider themselves homeschoolers, and others don’t. This choice may largely depend upon where your family lives, and in many areas you get to choose.

Learners who graduate from Prisma receive an accredited US private high school diploma that meets university entrance requirements and includes all courses required for graduation.

Some long-time homeschoolers or parents who feel excited and equipped to take a leading role in their child’s education choose the Parent Coach program, where they—instead of a Prisma educator—serve as their child’s mentor coach. This option is available for grades 4-8 only and has lower tuition because the parent takes on the mentor coach role.
